Brass Taylor Wine Crate Stencil

At the wine industry exhibits at the Glenn Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport, N.Y. in the Fingerlakes they had some original and rare items.  These large brass stencils were used by the wine companies to mark the end of crates of grapes and wine products. This one is Taylor Wine Company. They closed the plant in the Hammondsport area and it became the Fingerlakes Boating Museum which you can tour and see much of the original Taylor facilities.
