3 Different Vegan Sausage Recipes: Which do you prefer?

While watching videos on Youtube, I noticed there were many versions of vegan sausage recipes. So, I decided to add three videos here to display the difference. Everyone seems to make their own version, including me. If I do any of these recipes, I will change some of the ingredients to better suit my own taste buds or sometimes make a recipe based on what I already have in my kitchen.

This first recipe has wheat gluten.

The second recipe is vegan sausage and diced potatoes. The sausage is made from seitan.

The third recipe is gluten-free, and she makes sausages and patties.

  1. The broth = 3 cups of water, 2 tbsp. of mushroom powder, 3 tbsp. of soy sauce, and 1 Tsp of molasses. Mix well. Add some ½ Tsp of salt.
  2. The Vegan Meat:  Place 1 cup of gluten-free rolled oats in food processor, 1 Tsp of crushed fennel seeds, ½ Tsp of crushed red peppercorns, 1 Tsp of crushed chili flakes, 1 ½ tbsp. of dehydrated onion flakes, 2 cloves crushed garlic, ½ Tsp of salt, 1 tbsp. of Caribbean spice with garlic, 1 Tsp of ground sage, 1 ½ Tsp crushed and dried rosemary, ½ Tsp of ground black pepper, and 3 tbsp. of ground flaxseeds in a food processor. Place mixture into a bowl. Add 9 tbsp. of water and some olive oil or coconut oil, and stir the mixture. Add some liquid smoke or smoked paprika or mesquite, and 1 Tsp of maple. Mix again. Add 1 tbsp. of Italian herbs. Mix again. Start molding pieces into either sausages or patties. Put some olive oil in a pan, and place sausages and patties on the pan, and heat on medium heat until they turn a golden color. Pour vegan broth over the sausage, and boil. Then, place sausages and patties in the oiled pan to fry.
  3. To make your own vegan egg:  1 egg = 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseeds and 3 tablespoons of water.

So, which vegan sausage recipe do you prefer?

    • I know. that is sometimes hard for me…to look for certain items and gather ingredients. some of the foods and ingredients I’ve never heard of, like aquafaba, in which I just learned about. But sometimes if I don’t have an ingredient or I can’t find it in the store, I just substitute it with something else that is similar or has a similar flavor.
