As I check out videos about Emily in Paris, mostly because Youtubers are entertaining, I noticed that the main characters of such TV series or movies, Lily Collins, Anne Hathaway, and Sarah Jessica Parker all have the same look–The Ugly Betty Look. They all adorn themselves with designer merchandise because of low self-esteem as well as jealousy for the better looking people, trying to be someone they aren’t, which is why they all look ridiculous because they really don’t have a fashion sense.
I am sure there are more TV series and movies who does this, just as Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, who was actually a low budge whore who meets are millionaire, and he dressed her up in expensive designer clothing to make her feel like a princess. Rather, she looked more like a callgirl, which is a better dressed whore, often overdressed with designer shoes, clothes, and accessories to give the illusion of higher status.

As I watch some Emily in Paris reviews, I realize that this series is similar to Sex in the City and Devil Wears Prada. They all have ordinary-looking and relatable actors trying to promote designer fashions to the public.
Lilly Collins is quite ugly looking young woman, but her clothes are very youth, fun, and trendy. She appears to have very expensive designer accessories and clothes, such as Chanel, to improve her self-esteem and make herself appear better looking or at least someone who has a higher social status. Same with Anna Hathaway in Devil Wears Prada as well as the 4 Cunts in NYC from Sex in the City.
So, I think this video is an interesting fashion video. I have similar items, but with a different and affordable designer label, such as Karl Lagerfeld, Badgley Mischka, and LV gift, as well as round pink Moschino purse on sale.

This video lists some of the expensive designer clothing and accessories that Ugly Emily models Paris photo shoot series. It is similar to a fashion magazine editorial but on an Ugly Betty character instead of a fashion model. I guess they are trying to promote expensive merchandise to regular people in society.
Her character does look she is trying to hard to look fashionable. She just looks like a wannabe trying to improve her ugly looks.
#3 I Love Emily in Paris but HATE Her Style (Part 1)
I have never seen the Emily in Paris series, but from these videos, I have noticed that her character overdoes it with the fashion. She looks like a non-fashionable woman trying to appear fashionable and cool. Instead, she looks like a hot mess fashion model wannabe.
The 4 Cunts from Sex in the City are similar but much older-looking. And, Andrea Sachs in Devil Wears Prada is similar, although she was given a makeover toward the middle of the movie in order help her fit in with the slim and fashionable people at Runway Magazine.
