Latest Wedding Dress Trends For 2019

The new year has just begun and we already see the trends for the coming months. Experts agree, 2019 will be the year for romantic and timeless gowns. The recent royal wedding has had a lot of influence on brides who want to claim their title of “Princess”, if only for a day.

Bridal Gowns

Brides will be wearing white gowns made of lace. Azazies lace wedding dresses are the wedding gown standard.  Princess gowns gathered at the waist and embellished with a bow and ribbon, and long lace sleeves are the most popular. The latest addition to the sleeve line is the bell sleeve. This sleeve will show up around the globe. The beautiful mermaid dress with a very full hemline is a ranking choice. The bride gets her princess look and wears a form-fitting gown that is ultra sexy.

Brides are opting for tiaras instead of traditional veils. Gowns with trains are attached at the shoulder or waist instead of the head or hair.

Exciting options for any wedding party

2019 has some exciting choices that may surprise you. First, you will see jumpsuits. These one-piece outfits are designed with patterns and rows of beads. Some brides are selecting these for their bridesmaids. They are stunning, to say the least. The second trend began last year but it is expected to rock the industry in 2019. This is the solid-color (usually white) pantsuit. The pants are wide-legged and flowing. The top/jacket is either short (just above the waist) or traditional (to the top of the hips.) Some brides are choosing pearl embellishments on the lapel, and a one or two button closure. The jacket shows a lot of cleavage, but not too much and most brides opt not to add a shirt. However, a pretty camisole is not out of the question. For the bride who does not want a gown, for whatever reason, this is a perfect choice.

Bridesmaids

For the past two years, we have seen metallic dresses being chosen for the bridesmaids dresses. This trend is hanging on. The color this year is rust and bridesmaids are wearing short A-line dresses or floor length sheath dresses made of silk or satin. Gold metallic is still trending this year, but you will be seeing fewer gowns of silver.

Bridesmaids are wearing their hair is natural styles. You will see flowing hair adorned with small flower halos or floral combs. The messy bun has returned this year.

Floral Bouquet

You cannot get a clear mental picture of the wedding trends for this year without considering the flowers. While roses will never be replaced as the primary wedding flower, this year brides are changing the standard.

Last year brides were carrying huge bouquets with lots of all-natural greenery and fully bloomed flowers. The beautiful bouquets were then placed on the tables at the reception to serve as a centerpiece.

This year there will still be greenery, but it will be considerably tamed. The greenery will serve to shape the more modest arrangements.  Instead of white roses, you will see bouquets of Lily of the Valley, Peonies, and Hydrangeas. The bouquet will feature all greenery with a single (large) flower or a group of a single flower type.

Brides and grooms who have opted to marry in 2019 will find refreshing trends that are understated and chic. There is no doubt, this year will be one that the wedding industry will not soon forget.
