Karl Lagerfeld, Dead at 85

Friday, 2.22.19 (The date Lagerfeld’s death was announced 2.22 has numerological symbolism).

It was a nice sunny day with clear blue skies in Southern California. At 5:30 pm, I decided to go to the Woodbridge meetup. It was still chilly but dry. Traffic was terrible this evening because it took a while to drive there, and it isn’t far from my townhouse, maybe around three miles. I finally arrived the already busy parking lot at 5:45 pm. I decided to browse on my iPhone before I got out of my car. The first news I noticed was on Pinterest, stating Karl Lagerfeld had died at 85. He was known mostly for working as the Creative Director of Chanel and Fendi.

After the five-minute walk, I went on Youtube to notice there were many videos about Karl Lagerfeld’s death. He died in Paris, or just west of Paris, in Neuilly-sur-Seine. He leaves behind his beloved cat, Choupette, who inherited a large sum of his fortune, a part of his $300 million fortune, probably for someone to properly take care of her and her needs. I wonder who will take care of her. It is probably someone he trusted with his estate and cat.

Karl Otto Lagerfeldt was born in Hamburg, Germany on September 10, 1933 and he died on February 19, 2019 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. (There was a full moon on February 19th).

So far, it isn’t known what he died from or how he died. I guess they are keeping it a secret, or if it is controversial, not sure what the alleged story will be…

I think it is shocking because I have been into fashion since my 20s. I have noticed from the last couple of years while watching runway videos on Youtube that the Chanel runways were more interesting because they were decorated into scenes, such as grocery store aisle.
