How Lookbook saved me

Fall of last year, I found myself utilizing a website called “Lookbook”, which is a fashion website that allows you to showcase your style, outfits, and maybe even photography; along with the pleasure of viewing other styles across the globe. Not sure how I ended up on this website, but it has allowed me to share clothing items that I have in my closet that I have not even thought about wearing. It has also made me more aware of brands in the fashion world, and while out shopping. Lookbook brought out the stylish side in me, which motivates me to try various brands and styles that I’ve never even thought I’d wear. I have even found myself shopping in the women’s section; along with the men’s section while shopping at the local thrift store.

The community gives me that first outfit opinion I need, when I’m unsure of what others may think prior to wearing it out. That opinion is great from a total stranger, when the outfit you are interested in wearing is borderline questionable. The community also allows you to build relationships with others across the globe with fashion interests like yourself. Such a friendly place, built with nothing less of positivity to keep you inspired to share more styles with no judgement in the process.

Since joining the community, I view fashion and styling in a very different way. They can be used in positive ways to make others smile by lighting up the room, when others are dressed plain and dull. I believe there are no limits when it comes to clothing, no matter what gender it may have labeled on it; if it looks presentable and classy who cares just wear it.

    • I did a writing about this jacket, which I found at a thrift store. It has been so long, but I believe I purchased it for like $3. I think it looks great with denim jeans. I will feature this on my lookbook page in the fall; I just gave everyone a sneak peek ; )
