"Wildest Dreams."

WILDEST DREAMS

The song “Wildest Dreams” was recorded by Taylor Swift, an American singer-songwriter for her fifth studio album, 1989. It was released to radio by a recording company called Big Machine Records and Republic Records on August 31, 2015, as the album’s fifth single. Taylor wrote the song musically, with Max Martin and Shellback. “Wildest Dreams” is termed a dream pop power ballad. The lyrics describe Swift’s plea for her lover to never forget her.

Sputnikmusic called her song, “an impassioned piece” and thought that, “it really proves that Swift is capable of taking influences of the contemporary around her and molding them into something strikingly original.” PopMatter’s Corey Bealsey described it as “Swift literally doing something big like Lana Del Rey’s impression and managing it with the mastery of a ventriloquist, able to conjure up Del Rey’s moody, sultry atmospherics.”

  1. I had never taken any interest in Taylor Swift until I heard Wildest Dreams as a sound track in Spirt Untamed. After hearing it I went searching and that’s when I realized she was the singer. Since then I came to know of many other of her songs with real heartfelt lyrics. I really love how she delivered this one. I fell in love with her for it. Thanks for writing about it too. I was thinking about this song last night.
