The spirit of the late Walt Disney lives in through the efforts of their Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Robert “Bob” A. Iger who recently promised to donate $1 million dollars for the victims of Hurricane Michael which made landfall as a category four storm in the city of Mexico Beach Florida last Wednesday.
Even though the storm that did not directly impact the Walt Disney amusement park in Orlando Florida, Bob realizes that the Federal government as well as the state government of Florida is stretched to the limit in terms of money to assist the victims of the storm that has destroyed the Florida Panhandle region.
It is nice to see the CEOs of several companies willing to assist the victims of Hurricane Michael who are in desperate need of clothing, shelter, food and drinks.
Florida Governor Rick Scott has thanked Bob Iger as well as his employees for their kind donation that will be used to assist the victims of the strongest storm to date that has hit the Florida Panhandle area.
There is an old saying in our nation when a disaster strikes. The saying is “We will rebuild.” I am sure that other companies will be doing their part to assist in the rebuilding of the area that devastated from one of the strongest hurricane in history.
I hope New Orleans avoids another super storm since the city will be in deep trouble.
this is a huge nation, so when disaster strikes our motto should be “we will move”
That is true since I have been through Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and I had to leave Metairie to Pine Louisiana which is about 80 miles north.
seriously- why not just relocate?
I wanted to but it did not happen until four years later when someone close to me passed on.
While I hope the Big Easy doesn’t get hit by another big storm, we know this is inevitable. I am glad you moved before that happens…
My pleasure to share another great story.
Glad to hear such a story! Great post!
My pleasure to be the bearer of good news on this site.
This is great to hear, they should spread the money around. Great story.
You are correct since it is better to assist someone who needs help than being greedy with excess material wealth.
Another inspiration post!
My pleasure to share this wonderful story.
