Walt Disney Company is pitching in to assist the hurricane victims

The spirit of the late Walt Disney lives in through the efforts of their Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Robert “Bob” A. Iger who recently promised to donate $1 million dollars for the victims of Hurricane Michael which made landfall as a category four storm in the city of Mexico Beach Florida last Wednesday.

Even though the storm that did not directly impact the Walt Disney amusement park in Orlando Florida, Bob realizes that the Federal government as well as the state government of Florida is stretched to the limit in terms of money to assist the victims of the storm that has destroyed the Florida Panhandle region.

It is nice to see the CEOs of several companies willing to assist the victims of Hurricane Michael who are in desperate need of clothing, shelter, food and drinks.

Florida Governor Rick Scott has thanked Bob Iger as well as his employees for their kind donation that will be used to assist the victims of the strongest storm to date that has hit the Florida Panhandle area.

There is an old saying in our nation when a disaster strikes. The saying is “We will rebuild.” I am sure that other companies will be doing their part to assist in the rebuilding of the area that devastated from one of the strongest hurricane in history.
