Walking in Misty Friday Evening

Friday, May 11, 2018

I woke up at 11:30 am. As I made my breakfast, I realized it is Friday and I forgot to take out the trash. After eating, I worked on retouching more pages. I looked out the window and noticed it was cloudy outside because it looked like it was going to rain. I checked my calendar and noticed I have a walking group meetup at 6 pm. I checked my answering machine and returned some calls. After taking a shower, I decided to get ready for a 5-mile walking meetup. As I went out to my mailbox and got the mail, I realized it feels cold and cloudy today, and I probably should wear a jacket and hat, just in case it rains or gets windy. When I arrived at the meetup, I noticed many people showed up, around 24, which was surprising because the weather was crappy. Usually, many people chicken out during such weather conditions. It was a relaxing walk. The first two miles was dry, and I got hot and sweaty during the first half. The second 2 miles and half was kind of fun because the weather got misty, and my knit hat got soaked. My eyeglasses were hard to see through. The rain was very soft, and it didn’t really feel like it was raining, even though my car was wet as I was driving home. When I arrived home, I noticed that my neighborhood was mostly dry, although there were some raindrops on some cars and garbage bins. It is interesting how it stopped raining when I drove into my neighborhood. I made some hot cocoa and relaxed in front of my computer.
