Why the Vulture villain looked different than the comic book stories

The reason that the Vulture character looked different than the Spider-Man cartoon and comic book version in the smash hit movie “Spider-Man: Homecoming” is that if the Vulture character looked anything like the cartoon or comic book version, the target audience of the movie would have freaked out that a Spider-Man who is old enough to be a grandfather who destroy any credibility to the story in this movie.

I mean could see the jokes if The Vulture was old enough to a grandfather “I have fallen and I can’t get up.” or “Does the vulture take Geritol to face the day at his work?”
