Top 10 Song by The Rolling Stones

Hello my loves. Welcome to the “Top 10 Songs by The Rolling Stones”.

I’ve tried to stay rational as much as possible, but the thing is I kind of consider The Rolling Stones to be not only one of the biggest bands of all time, but also one of the rare bands whose every single member has managed to perform the full apotheoses, which means they’ve literally turned themselves into Gods, and now they’re living among us mortals leaving us breathless and mesmerized by their presence by spreading some kind of a transcendental and magical energy all around the venue at which they’re performing. Seeing them perform live is pretty much the closest proximity to being at the mountain Olympus.

After reading the previous paragraph, I’m pretty sure you can see how hard for me is not to stay bias.

Anyhow, I did! Therefore, please respect the hard work I went through. But, I did leave this list opened to both submissions and voting, in order for this article, which means a great deal to me, to stay as transparent as possible. Your thoughts, submissions and votes are more than welcomed!  🙂

All that being said, I can only present you with the main criteria I’ve used for listing these songs which was the recognition and “popularity” among the recipients of the songs. Not my favorite criteria, but when lists are being made, it could be the most relevant one.

Here’s the list.

All the love,

#2 (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction (1965)

Undeniable the most popular song The Rolling Stones have ever recorded. The one Britney Spears has done the worst cover ever off of all time!!!! The guitar line was conjured by Keith Richards while he was asleep. "I had no idea I'd written it," he recalled in his memoir, Life, explaining how he awoke to discover the bones of the song which were obviously recorded the previous night with his acoustic guitar on a bedside cassette machine.

#8 Brown Sugar (1971)

Now, this is the perfect example of how rational I was while working on this list. If I was to name my least favorite song by The Rolling Stones, it would be Brown Sugar. This is the place in the list where Shine a Light, I't Only Rock and Roll But I Like It and Ruby Tuesday would had been listed if this list was created based on my own opinion. Then again, the criteria was the song's "fame", therefore even I have to admit Brown Sugar needs to be here. As well as the following song...

    • I KNOW!!!!!! The problem was that they weren’t the clean cut band as The Beatles were, at least by their representation in public. They even worked together, went to the same events, collaborated, etc. but still the honest ones had to be the bad boys due to their looks and presence on stage…
