The Aladdin panto

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas.  This year, I spent Christmas with my sister, brother-in-law and niece.  They live away, but came to my neck of the woods in England and rented a caravan for a week.  The caravan site they were staying on has their own entertainment, and this year they had put on the Aladdin pantomime.  For those not living in England, a pantomime is a tradition in England where they put shows on in theatres and venues – such as Aladdin, in this case, or Cinderalla etc.  This was a small panto though with just 5 of the caravan park staff playing the parts.

We went to see this show on Boxing Day (the day after Christmas Day.)  Although it was small, and not a great deal of people there, I thought it was really good, and they did very well at playing their roles.  The show lasted about an hour, and the children that were there seemed to enjoy the show.   They got the audience involved by booing and hissing at the baddie, which was fun.  Personally, I really enjoyed this and it seemed the other people did too.  It’s the first panto I’ve been to in years too.
