I decided to go to the IMAX theater to watch the new Star Wars movie in 3D. I went to the 3:15 pm showing, and I arrived just in time when the movie was about to start. When I arrived to theater 9, I hadn’t realized that it was at the VIP lounge. It was the first time I saw a movie in a VIP theater. The room was smaller, and there were cushioned reclining chairs with little table. I didn’t drink alcohol because I would have fallen asleep. The reclining chair had a cushioned pillow, and I had fun relaxing into the reclining chair with, almost lying straight down with my legs propped up and my back slanted down, in which it kind of felt like I was flying to the moon. It was an interesting experience because I felt like a VIP.
I added six fun and entertaining videos about the movie.
The movie was entertaining, as I experienced the locales, interesting creatures, and different cultures. Familiar actors include Mark Hamill, late Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Laura Dern, and Benicio del Toro. I think the movie was filmed in England, Ireland, Croatia, and Bolivia.
It was a fun ride through outer space as well as various green coastal locations throughout Europe, and the story flowed smoothly along from one scene to the next throughout the film. The movie was also paced well because it didn’t drag at areas, like it usually does in previous Star Wars movies.
It starts from the last one’s ending, where Rey meets Luke Skywalker on a hilly and rocky coast. She persuades him to train her to be the last Jedi. It is an action-filled space war between Kylo Ren’s spaceship, and the Princess Leia’s spaceship. Kylo Ren is actually Ben Solo, Han Solo’s son with Princess Leia. Kylo is on the mission to kill the last Jedi, who is Luke, while Luke is busy training Rey to continue the fight. There is a lot of telepathy going on, especially between Rey and Kylo, which was confusing at first for me because I didn’t know what was going on between the characters because some of the scenes were quite funny.
This movie had cute creatures, such as the Crystal Critters, which look like glasslike foxes as well as the Ice Fox in the Facebook game Yoworld. There are those cute bird-like creatures with huge round eyes that kind of look like little gremlins.
I noticed from one of the videos that the cast described the film as an independent film with a big budget.
