I read once an interview with Evaristo, leader of Spanish punk band La Polla Records, in which he claimed his band was dead and La Polla Records would never play again. Notwithstanding this assurance, La Polla Records is back in this 2019. The last time they played together was 2003.
They have released a new album titled: “Ni Paz, ni descanso” that comprises 19 songs from their first three albums and a new one that you can discover right now.
Evaristo had not spoken with the rest of the band for many years, yet as they had to talk about royalties they came up with the idea of playing again. They will be playing two times in Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, and Bilbao. What is more, La Polla Records will be touring South America next year. Evaristo acknowledges he only has one thousand seven hundred euros in his bank account…
I’ve never been a fan of punk, my friend … the only group I knew really well were the Sex Pistols and the Ramons …. but I’ve never heard of this group
I love punk. La Polla Records sing in Spanish and are only known in Spanish speaking countries

The thing is, he is somehow radical, and when they told him he was going to earn lots of money he answered he only had such amount of money, but perhaps this is the reason they are back. Thanks for commenting.
