Song Saturday – Jeff Lorber – PCH

Jeff Lorber is a jazz legend on the keyboards throughout the jazz fusion era and the current smooth jazz era.  He is one of the few musicians that is able to incorporate all concepts of jazz into each and every song that he creates.

The song that I picked is titled PCH, which is an abbreviation of the Pacific Coast Highway.  I have never driven on the West Coast, but this song sounds the relaxing experience of the Pacific Coast Highway.  Relax and go slow around the curves.  In the song, he weaves in classical jazz, jazz fusion, and smooth jazz to whet the ears of the listener.

      • it really is – i had a friend that actually appeared in the New Orleans Jazz festival (her and her band) so I got to hang out there for a week. The first night we were drunk and realized we missed the music. We only drank after the festival for the rest of ht week!
