Kim started a fun challenge, Song Saturday Challenge!
This is a song from my favourite singer, Hebe Tian. It’s in Mandarin. Sadly, I don’t know what genre of music this song belongs to. Maybe someone could tell me :p
Part of the lyrics:
这世界 就像花开那么快 谁都明白可惜为什么有人 还看不开
The world is as fast (pace) as the blooming of a flower, we all understand that, but unfortunately, some just can’t let go.
The song uses “flower” to describe life and how these flowers are fighting hard to live beautifully and to their fullest even though their lifespan can be short.
A question from the song: Do you want your “heart” (mood) to be as beautiful as the flowers?
I usually avoid female voices but this was adorable! ??
Hopefully this discovery will help me focus on learning Chinese as it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while but haven’t really tried yet. ?
The lyrics sound beautiful too. ?
I love this song because its “happy” too… very positive actually!
Music and entertainment (TV shows and moves) are good ways to pick up a language but do note that some singers have their own style of pronunciation on some words. :p
And pronunciation seems to be the hardest thing in the Chinese language, too. I heard it’s common to say “horse” instead of “mom”. ??
Haha, true …
Chinese have 4 tones, a slight “out of tune” can make a huge difference!
I can’t imagine learning Cantonese which have 9 tones!! 9!!!!
That’s a beautiful music video! I haven’t really listen to any songs of Hebe after each of them from SHE has worked on individually. She really has nice voice!
I’m pretty surprised at how good she sounds when she became solo!
Very clean and sweet voice!
Yes, I read many compliments about her and I was quite surprised to know there are a few very good songs actually sung by her.
Yes, she has a few popular ones from movies/serie theme songs! 🙂
A great and unique one here.
Thank you, just sharing my favourite music from my side of the world :p
This was different, thank you for sharing as she sounds lovely.
I’m glad you enjoy it!
I love her voice too! 🙂
nice video indeed, thanks for sharing
I love the voice! She is very talented. my translator couldn’t keep up so I missed a lot of the words.
This feels like what I would call new age music. But, it is probably new age specific to China.
Thanks for helping to identify the music genre.
Hebe is Taiwanese … and I do love her voice and also her attitude and passion towards music.
you are most welcome. She has an amazing voice!
