Every year, we celebrate Sea Day. My city is the only Lithuanian seaport so this feast is related to our seamen. We celebrate it at the end of July, and it last three days. There are other events from the beginning of week related to this holiday, but the main events are going on the weekend.
There are many concerts, spectacles we can see and listen to. The yachts come from all over the world to give us their show. And of course, carnival and fair. You can not only buy works of masters but also souvenirs, to try some of our traditional dishes, dishes of other world’s cuisines. At the evenings we have light-fountain music show and fireworks.
Actually, people who live in the downtown usually run away from home at that time, because the buzz, music, and noise outside are terrible for them. I also not very much like such crowds of people. I get tired in such events, although going every year at least one evening. The weather usually is very hot at that time, so to stay the whole day under the sun is impossible.
There are some photos of this feast I want to share with you.
