1959 – The Elvis single “A Fool Such As I” makes a million sales and gets a Gold record.

1967 – The Supremes come out with their ninth number one hit “Love Is Here and Now You’re Gone”.

1970 – That year the Grammy Awards went to The Fifth Dimension for “Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In” Record of the Year, Blood, Sweat and Tears self-titled LP Album of the Year and Joe South “Games People Play” Song of the Year and Crosby, Stills and Nash as Best New Artist.

1971 – The Partridge Family with David Cassidy get a Gold record for “Doesn’t Somebody Want to be Wanted”.

1978 – Meatloaf comes out with his album “Bat Out Of Hell” and the album sits on the U.K. chart for a total of 416 weeks and goes on to sell more than 12 million copies.
