Rock and Roll February 23

1957 – Tab Hunter has a hit on the U.K. chart with “Young Love”.

1961 – Petula Clark has a number one hit in the U.K. with “Sailor”.

1963 – Our Day Will Come” by Ruby and the Romantics becomes a number one hit on both the Pop and R&B charts.

1968 – The Association came out with their final Top 10 hit in the U.S. “Everything That Touches You”.

1980Queen has a hit with “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”.

And adding on news that really thrilled me Queen has been honored by the U.K. with a commemorative coin that pays tribute to them all depicting each of the instruments they played. They have become the first band ever to be celebrated on an official U.K. coin.
