Today is the 1st day of May, the month of May flowers. It is breezy and sunny today, here in Southern California. This photo reminds me that I need to ride my huffy this spring because I haven’t ridden it since last spring, due to the cold and wet fall and winter weather. I hope my tires are OK now, since I bought a new tire pump and pumped up both flat tires. I had also watched a video on pumping huffy tires, and the person opened up the tires to take something out, which looked complicated, before pumping the tires. I hope I don’t have to do that.
My May calendar is already filling up with local meetups, events, and activities. I also noticed some traditional cultural holidays. I might even stop by at a local art reception as well as check out OCMA art museum.
May 5th = Cinco de Mayo
May 6th = 1st Day of Ramadan
May 12th = Mother’s Day
May 18th = Armed Forces Day
May 20th = Canadian Victoria Day
May 27th = Memorial Day
Fashionwise, I plan to dress my usual nautical outfits for spring. For me, nautical clothes and accessories have always been classic for springtime. I like wearing lots of white, with an accent on red and/or blue, as well as stripes, plaid, and gingham. Moreover, windbreakers, denim jackets, and wedges are also popular for this time of year. I still occasionally wear knit hats because it gets windy or breezy, which sometimes feels cold, especially during evening hikes. I also wear cotton or linen scarf for an added accessory, whether on me or on my purse of the day.
May has a lot of events going on.
That could be a lot of fun. Enjoy the month of May!
