You might remember a song by Ricky Martin “Livin’ La Vida Loca”. It was released in 1999 and on this singer’s self-titled debut album in the English language. The translation is that it means living a crazy life and has become his signature song.
The reason I mention this song is that I heard it once again and suddenly I thought hey, this song refers to me. These days I really feel like I am living the crazy life that only a struggling writer can live. When things go well and jobs come in the sun seems to shine even if the rain is falling and when things don’t go too well it seems to be raining even if the sun is shining. Crazy, right?
The one line of the song that really plants a smile on me is when he sings she’s like a bullet to the brain and believe me that is what I plan on being like toward anyone offering a writing job I want one and I want them all and I am willing to come through.
