I’m impressed by Jackie Evancho. She sings beautifully and effortlessly. In this clip, she is grown up and is 19. It is her final performance on America’s Got Talent, and she makes the best of it. She is now a very pretty young woman, but she still has a stellar stage presence and definitely isn’t shy or afraid of the spotlight. With a voice like hers, she has no reason at all to be. The fact that she is so pretty merely helps. It is wonderful to see how she’s grown up into the woman she’s become.

There isn’t even a hint of nervousness and she’s the sort of singer who simply opens her mouth and the music flows out.

Except for the fact that she is a soprano, the ease with which she sings is how I would have described a ‘crooner’. Bing, Bob, Dean Martin, and Frank all had that quality, though none of them sang soprano. 🙂
They were all basso profundo or tenors. Like Peter Hollins. She is truly a gift.
