Love ItLove It

In His DNA

Getting together with a co-worker is tricky business. Dating someone casually is one thing, but when you take it to your place of work, including the evidence closet, you risk your DNA turning into a flying dart and communicating things to your co-workers, (such as Ella), that you would much rather not have them know.

Sure, Ella was supportive, but I guess Cain wanted Lucifer to catch them in the act. Too bad for Cain that Lucifer never caught on to what transpired between Cain and Chloe.

What will Lucifer do when he finds out that his Chloe has been pierced? Lucifer will have to go after Chloe full force, if he is to steer her away from a man whose reputation is dubious at best.

Lucifer couldn't sleep.  But he didn't know why.  Of course if you watched the last episode, "The Angel of San Bernadino", you will know why. Lucifer couldn't sleep, not because of his ridiculous fight club, not because of his Father, but because of his own paranoia.  Lucifer was convinced that his Father was the one turning him into a southern California angel over night, just to tick him off.

The fight club he got into was just a means to an end; a way for him to stay awake, so that he wouldn't go saving people at night, the way he thought his Father wanted him to.

What happened while he was awake, ironically, was that Cain and Chloe got closer, much closer.  Cain's DNA almost made an appearance in Chloe's clothes.

Naturally, Lucifer was clueless.  Maybe the reason he is so clueless, is in fact because he is Chloe less.

#2 Maze Millitia

Now that Maze decided she will make Chloe pay for the fact that Lucifer is in love with Chloe and not her, she will have to go at it alone. She will be so alone in fact, that she will have to go looking for perfect strangers to fall into her trap.

Cain won't be following through with his plan after all.

Cain's curse has now been lifted.  In the last scene of last week's episode, we saw the fight between him and Lucifer.  Cain's tattoo simply vanished.  Once Cain confessed to Lucifer, that he couldn't make Chloe say those words, the words of eternal love, his tattoo simply vanished.

Cain couldn't make Chloe suffer the way he had planned all along.  He couldn't go through with it.  He couldn't make Chloe fall for him in order to get Lucifer to kill him once and for all.

What Cain didn't know, is that by showing Chloe some compassion, God the Father, forgave him.  His eternal curse to roam the earth for ever and ever, has now been lifted.

Cain no longer needs Lucifer to kill him.  The question is, will he go after Chloe after all?  He doesn't need to use her as a way of ending his life now.  Will he try to win her back?

If he does, he will do so with Maze and Lucifer watching his every move, in order to stop him from being with Chloe.  Lucifer loves Chloe, but Maze just wants Chloe to suffer, as if it's Chloe's fault that Lucifer loves her and not Maze.

#3 Confused Chloe

Chloe was left abandoned by Cain.  Cain didn't really give her a reason.  He simply couldn't go through with his plan, and said it wasn't worth it.

Chloe of course, confused by the sudden change of heart, thinks that Cain doesn't think she's worth it.  What she doesn't understand is that she has just been spared a man, who obviously doesn't deserve her.

Will she forgive him?  Can she forgive him?  Does she still hold Lucifer in her heart.  Will she blame Lucifer for everything that went wrong.  Does Cain even stand a chance of winning Chloe back?

Will this be Lucifer's only chance to win Chloe back from the seduction of Cain?

#4 Look What You Made Me Do

Maze just wants an excuse to be as cruel as possible to as many people as possible.  She has had it in for Chloe since the beginning.  Being Chloe's roommate didn't necessarily change that.  Now that Lucifer has made it clear to her that Chloe is the love of his life, Maze wants to go back to hell in order to be the queen again; at least, that is what she thought she was, in Lucifer's life.

She wants someone for herself, but since Amenadiel and Linda decided to partner up, that left Maze high and dry.

Charlotte Richards thinks she's evil, because she gave into  temptation, but what she doesn't realize, is that true evil doers never realize they were tempted to begin with.  Charlotte has a long way to go, but if she can see her true nature, and try to change it, she still has a chance to escape the hell that she lived, while the Goddess inhabited her body, in Season 2.

There is hope for Charlotte.  I can't say the same for Maze.  In the next episode we will see, I suspect Maze will reach a point of no return.  She will sink to the depths of hell in order to completely destroy Lucifer, Chloe, or both.

Will Chloe start having strange nightmares?  If she does, it will be the doing of Maze.  Will Lucifer be able to save her and himself from the demon that is Maze?
