Hawaii Five-0 – Ike Maka

“Ike Maka” is episode nine of season two of Hawaii Five-0 and it opens with the cops chasing an American muscle car through the streets when they end up on the docks. The pursuers get cut off for a moment, and when they get through again, the car has vanished. There are various containers nearby, so the police break them open and find a whole bunch of muscle cars. Rather reminiscent of Gone in 60 Seconds.

Although they find the car they are looking for, blood is noticed dripping from one of the other cars found. In the boot is a dead man swathed in bandages and with a gunshot wound to the chest. Removing the bandages shows that the man has had his fingerprints filed off, and has, very recently, undergone significant plastic surgery. So recently, that the wounds hadn’t even had a chance to heal. Finding out his identity is going to be tricky.

All the cars are obviously from car thieves, but is the dead man the victim of a car jacking gone wrong? Some twists to the plot.

Danny is currently staying with McGarrett and for some reason Max isn’t talking to either of them.

This episode’s name means “Identity”.
