Get to Know DOUG JONES as Hollywood's Man of Disguise (Part 1 of 2)

#11 Morlock Spy of The Time Machine (2002)

Doug played as Morlock spy, a humanoid spy that exist in several future timelines, in a 2002 American science fiction film "The Time Machine" that is based from H.G. Wells' 1895 novel of the same title. 

#14 Abe Sapien of Hellboy I (2004) & Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008)

One of the most notable sci-fi characters he ever played was Abe Sapien from an American superhero film Hellboy directed by Guillermo del Toro that is based on Dark Horse comics. He played also his reprised role in the second movie of the original one. 

Abe Sapien is a humanoid amphibious creature. He has a pair of gills on his neck, that allows him to breathe underwater, but also has a set of normal human lungs that allows him to stay above and out of water for long periods. 

#15 Sewer Imp of Doom (2005)

Doug Jones made also his astounding role as the sewer imp in a 2005 American science fiction action horror film "Doom", where it is based on the video game series of the same name created by id Software. 

Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock played as one of the lead roles in the said film.

#16 The Faun of Pan’s Labyrinth (2006)

Another notable role he ever played was way back in 2006 from the award-winning movie directed also by Guilermo del Toro "Pan's Labyrinth". Doug Jones cast his role as the Faun.

As the Faun,  he guides Ofelia to the fantasy world. Ofelia is  a child who comes to believe that she is the reincarnation of a princess from the underworld named Moanna.

A faun according to Greek mythology, is one of the lustful rural gods that  represent a man with a goat's horns, ears, legs, and tail.

#18 The Pale Man of Pan’s Labyrinth (2006)

The Pale Man is the iconic secondary antagonist of the 2006 fantasy drama film Pan's Labyrinth, where Doug Jones played his second role aside from being The Faun.

The Pale Man is a pale skinned humanoid demon with his eyeballs in the palms of his hands that gives him a terrifying appearance.

This is Doug Jones. He's not iconic as you see among Hollywood figures, but you will know him in some of his astounding roles that involves heavy makeup and even realistic prosthetics portraying some of the famous fictional characters.
