George Frideric Handel Classical Composer

Know more about another prolific composer in his time, George Frideric Handel.

Handel was born in Halle, Saxony-Anhalt but lived most of his adult life in England. He was interested in music on an early age by playing harpsicord and organ musical instruments. Moreover, he begun composing at the age of nine, but his father want him to study law instead of a musical career for his son. The younger Handel pursued his interest with the help of his mother who was supportive and encouraged him in music.

One of his major work was Messiah, an otorio with its “Hallelujah” chorus, it is among the most popular works in choral music and has become a favorite sound during Christmas season.  His other famous works are Water Music and Music for the Royal Fireworks.
