This great rock and roller is now 78 years old. Fabian is an American singer and actor. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, he was a teen idol and eleven of his song made it on the Billboard 100. His full name is Fabiano Anthony Forte.

Among his hits are songs like “I’m a Man”, “Turn Me Loose” and his biggest hit “Tiger”. Fabian received that Silver Award as the Promising Male Vocalist of 1958. At this time he was only 15. Other singles to reach the charts were “String Along”, “About This Thing Called Love”, and “This Friendly World”. He decided to end his musical career and concentrate on acting when he reached 18.

Then in 1973, Fabian began to sing again for a short while picking up his musical career once more in 1981. He performed along with singers Frankie Avalon and Bobby Rydell calling themselves The Golden Boys. A kind of biography of him was the movie “The Idolmaker” which was released in 1981 even though the characters in the movie were supposedly fictional there were certain similarities. Fabian now hosts and headlines a hit show in Branson, Missouri which is filmed at The Dick Clark Theater. The Original Stars of Bandstand show also stars Bobby Vee and it features The Chiffons, Brian Hyland, and Chris Montez and shows rare footage of the performers and Dick Clark.
