Elvis’ First Album

I would like to know if there are Elvis fans here. Then I could take you on a trip down memory lane about this and that to do with the King of Rock and Roll.

Elvis came out with his very first album in March of 1956. It boggles the mind to think that it was one year before I even came into this world. It was recorded at RCA Victor recording studios in Nashville, Tennessee.

The album was titled Elvis Presley and released in the U.K with the title Elvis Presley Rock and Roll. From this album came six songs that were released as singles – “I Got a Woman”, “I’ll Never Let You Go (Little Darlin’)”, “Trying to Get to You”, “Blue Suede Shoes”, “Blue Moon” and “Money Honey”.

You know Elvis had so many different songs he sang that from the above songs I have to say that the one most well recognized is of course “Blue Suede Shoes”.

What do you think?

  1. i was in the middle of that great debate in High School. There were those who loved the Beatles and those who loved Elvis.

    i liked them both!

my favorites of his though were when he was older and really had some great songs!

i am more about the lyrics!
