Dolphinarium in Pattaya, Thailand

Dolphinarium is located in the South of Pattaya, not far from the hotels Ambassador and Pinnacle, as well as near the famous Nong Nooch Park. From the center of Pattaya to it about 20 minutes away by taxi. The dolphinarium is relatively “young,” it opened in 2011. You can get to the dolphinarium either alone or as part of an organized excursion. You can buy an excursion either from your tour operator or in any travel agency on the street. Moreover, I recommend buying on the street, and not in any way you should be afraid to do this. First: the price will be much cheaper. Secondly: the dolphinarium is one, the show is one and the same, therefore, in the end, you will get absolutely the same excursion, which in this case will not differ by itself, no matter where you buy it. Third: by purchasing a ticket from a local travel agency, you will be delivered by a small minibus (for about 10 people) – which will allow you to spend less time on the road, since the big bus (which the tour operators will pick up) will drive around and collect people about 3 times longer as there will be many different hotels and passengers.  When planning swimming with dolphins, keep in mind that the dolphinarium cares about its pets, so there are very strict requirements for swimming, which you must strictly observe. Even if you paid for the tickets, but ignored these requirements, you will not be allowed to the dolphins. I will mention just a few: Nails should be cut short; you can not have on yourself rings, chains, bracelets, hairpins, earrings, no zippers on swimsuits; long hair should be tied up or braid; and so on.  On the territory of the dolphinarium there are also other activities: karting, shooting range, mountain climbing, quad bikes, horse riding and fishing in the lake.  I can compare Pattaya dolphinarium with dolphinariums in Egypt and in Spain. In my opinion, the Thai show is somewhat more modest, the dolphins do slightly less complicated stunts, although their quantity and quality are at a fairly good level (I will not describe the show, it looks at one go). To the Spanish Dolphinarium, the Thai Dolphinarium wins with lower price and more democratic bathing conditions with dolphins and bathing durations. Compared with Egypt, bathing is also longer and more intense. Therefore, if you are in Pattaya with a child, by all means, take some time (a maximum of half a day is enough for this) and still allocate money for this excursion so that the child swims with dolphins.
