The title of this article refers to one of my favorite songs by Leonard Norman Cohen a Canadian singer, songwriter, musician, poet, and novelist. If you haven’t heard any of his songs then take a listen to the one I have posted. If you enjoy his songs then you know that he is a wonderful talent. He was born on September 21, 1934, and has been inducted into both the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the American Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Another of his most popular songs is “Hallelujah”. His albums have always been well received and on his 80th birthday in 2014 he came out with his 13th studio album Popular Problems. Among his other most popular songs is “Suzanne”, “So Long Marianne”, “First We Take Manhattan”, “The Stranger Song” and “Lady Midnight”. There is a lot to like about Cohen and his music and songs. It is amazing that this talented artist still goes on world tours and I suppose that is what gives him the energy and the strength to go on.
Leonard Cohen died on November 7, 2016, in Los Angeles, California but his music lives on.
