My hat is off to 11 year old Ruby Kate who visits nursing homes for senior citizens in Harrison Arkansas with her mother Amanda Chitsey who is employed as a nurse at the senior center.
Ruby realized that the senior citizens who stay at the nursing home in Harrison only have $40 dollars to their name to purchase basic items on a monthly basis.
Living on a $40 dollars a month to purchase items like food and clothing is very hard for a senior citizen to live on since it is very depressing for them to live on a shoe string budget.
Kate and her mother Amanda decided to start a project called “Three Wishes” so people who wanted to make donations via the GoFundMe.com site to raise funds for Kate and her mother to buy the basic needs for the senior citizens living in the nursing center like food, clothing and other needs to keep them happy since living in a nursing home without having their basic needs met.
So far the “Three Wishes” Project has raised $75,000 dollars for five nursing homes in the state of Arkansas. Kate has found happiness making the senior citizens of the nursing home very happy thanks to the efforts of Ruby and her mother Amanda.

My pleasure to share these kind of stories here.
Villains do end up sad that either they have been beaten in battle or lonely that they destroyed their enemies.
Ergo to be a villain is to lose
You are correct on this matter.
but then an argument could be made that we will all lose regardless
That is true since fights never settle any issues between the parties.
Great story. Our NZ rest homes are government funded but the residents are ignored and neglected. The homes provide basic food, not healthy food but basic and some are not nice to the elderly.
The elderly are often ignored and shoved aside, and often the rest homes are short staffed, so they control the residents by drugging them with sleeping tablets.
I think its a crime against people
All of us have to grow old if we are going to live.
This girl is a star of hope for many. thanks
It is a shame that seniors who are placed in these homes are not treated with the honor and respect that they deserve for raising their children.
So true, no they are not, most of the elderly in NZ rest homes get no visitors and the staff regularly drug them Its as if they are there to sit around in chairs so staff can collect pay and wait to die.
Horrible
That is just disgusting to treat senior citizens like that. Come on man. That breaks my heart.
That what I like about Kate that she goes the extra mile to make her customer happy which makes her a happy young lady as well.
Another heartwarming story. Nursing home residents hold a special place in my heart.
I know how you feel they really are nice people who are often neglected by society instead of respected like they richly deserve.
She harnessed the power of social media to help the elderly. That’ll look great on her college applications…
That is so true since having a great reputation as a child who cares for her elders is better than being a villain.
doing nothing is preferable to being a villain
That is true since some villains usually steal the show in the super hero shows and movies.
they’re more fun to read about, and perhaps even more fun to be, but in the end if you’re a villain, you’re alone
Kate is indeed a little girl with a big heart! She is amazing!
I like Kate attitude that she has learned from her mom to make the seniors in the center happy people.
She is also a good example for all of us.
I like the way she thinks since all people especially senior citizens want some love form kids.
I agree with you about her, and love your post with various examples of exemplary and human glory.
