What The World Will Look Like Once All The Ice Melted

The maps that you will see in this post represent the world as it is with just one big difference. All the Ice on the globe melted and drained into the sea, resulting in raising the sea level by 216 feet and creating new shorelines for the continents.

There are more than five million cubic miles of ice on planet Earth, and some renewed scientists say it would take more than 5,000 years for it to melt. If the human factor continues to add carbon to the atmosphere, there is a possibility of creating ice-free planet, with an average temperature of 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

North America

The whole Atlantic seaboard would vanish, along with Florida and the Gulf Coast. San Francisco’s hills would become a formation of islands and the central valley a giant bay. The Gulf of California would stretch closely to San Diego.

The Amazon located in the north and the Paraguay River in the south would became Atlantic inlets, destroying Buenos Aires, the coast of Uruguay and some parts of Paraguay.

Africa

Africa would lose less of its land to the massive sea level catastrophe , compared to the other continents. The Earth rising heat could make most of the places uninhabitable.
