Unmasking of America – 11

Since 1776 America has been ‘at peace’ for only 21 years.  

Begin with  the ‘Revolutionary War’ .  At its completion,  America went to war with various Indian Tribes until 1796 -97.

In 1798 to 1806 America  was in the 1st Barbary War, also known as the Tripolitan   There was a brief two years of peace between 1807 and 1809 then the United States invaded Florida which was controlled by the Spanish.  This was followed by wars with Native groups.

The War of 1812 ended in 1815 and was followed by another Tripolitan war until 1826.  There was a year off, then, in 1827 another war with the Native Americas.  This ended and the United States was not at war between 1828 and 1830.

In 1831 until 1846 the United States fought wars with the native Americans then included Mexico in this conflict until 1849 when it returned to waring with Native Americans.

This continued until1861.  This is when America warred with itself;  the ‘Civil War.’ until 1865.

Once the Civil War was over it returned to wars with Native Americans until 1874 when Mexico was again an enemy.   The War with Mexico continued 1896 with constant invasions.  

There was no war in 1897.

In 1898 the Spanish American War began which became a war with the Philippines until 1913.

In 1914 there were incursions in Mexico and Central America which continued into 1917-1918 when America joined the first World War.

At the end of WWI  fought it’s ‘Banana Wars’ in Central America until 1934.

There were no wars between 1935 – 1940.

America entered WWII in 1941 until 1945.

It then returned, in 1946 – 1947 to the Phillipines and invaded South Korea.   In 1948- 1949 it fought with Chinese Nationalists against the Communists.

From 1950 to 1953 there was the Korean War, followed in 1954 with an incursion into Guatemala.

From 1955 until 1975 the United States was involved in Vietnam.

There was no major war from 1976 until 1978.

In 1979 the United States covertly entered Afghanistan.  During the following nine years of this operation there were conflicts in Nicaragua, Lebanon, Grenada, the Persia Gulf and Panama.  The involvement in Panama continued until 1990.

In 1990 – 1991 came the first Gulf War.  America was involved in Iraq from 1992 to 1996.

There was a break in 1997 and a resumption in 1998 into 1999.

There was no major war in 2000.

In 2001the ‘War on Terror’ began and has continued from Afghanistan to Iraq to Somalia to Syria to Yemen.

The United States has virtually always been at war or preparing for one.
