That evening, when Geo and I were together I thought of mentioning the ‘Donna Crush’ but didn’t. It was too trivial to waste breath on.
The next day, Evan, who worked with Geo, ran up to me to tell me ‘What happened.’
“Donna invited Geo to the opening of a play and he looked at her with that face,” and he imitated this look of incredulity mixed with repulsion, “then said, “What makes you think I want to go to that play with you?” and walked away.
Evan was laughing, but that was typical Geo.
I got a bad feeling after that.
