Ernie of Sesame Street fame actually made it to number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with his hit “Rubber Duckie”.
The familiar yellow rubber duckie first appeared on the scene in the 1940s. They soon became very popular with children, especially at bath time. Time has certainly gone on and today there are Bluetooth-enabled versions of this toy at a price of $25. However, the classic yellow duck with the orange beak was the one that made it into the National Toy Hall of Fame in 2013.
For a great deal of fun, a site online called Ducky City will sell you any kind of rubber duckie you want even one that is supposed to resemble Elvis as you can see in the photo.
