Romanesque mills in the Duero, Zamora, Spain by oscarps

#11 #mill nº11

The period between the tenth and thirteenth centuries is the greatest political and economic splendor of Zamora, which also had its reflection in the architectural field. The XI in particular is considered as the "golden age" of the city, and the final decades of the same and the first of the latter constitute the most important, qualitative and quantitative era of Zamorano art. The result of these historical factors is an extraordinary set of Romanesque art, the largest in Spain and one of the most important in Europe.
