Pink Floyd I

Barrett and Waters had known each other since childhood. Together with colleagues from the Faculty Votersovim Richard Wright and Nick Mason have formed Pink Floyd in 1965. At first they played rhythm and blues, but were soon found in a psychedelic whirlwind of UFO Club.

Hippie movement was in the midst of a legal LSD and propagated as a miraculous engine of spiritual revelation and creativity. Barrett quickly singled out as the main author of music and text in a band, and among such a crowd of his psychedelic music and powerful stage charisma were met with perfect reception. Equipped with innovative lighting and stage effects-shift with the help of a stick and string, Floyd played music that has been described as a strange, unreal, and above all – loud. They soon gained wide enough circle of followers to interest the major music companies and the alternative scene move into the mainstream.
