Millennium Tower in Zemun

Millennium Tower in Zemun, or how many people mistakenly call it – Gardos tower, the latest symbol of the empire disappeared. It was built by Hungarians in 1896 to celebrate the millennium of its existence in the region. As seen in the photographs which were created before World War I, at the top of the monument was a bird, with a wingspan of four meters.
