Kokoshnik – giclee print

This isn’t part of my cold war series, partially due to the fact that a kokoshnik is a traditional headdress which has no soviet connotations but mostly because it isn’t furry. Have no fear, I am going to do a furry headdress once I solve a few issues with that technique. Please look forward to it!

#1 release version

This piece is quite minimalist on many different levels, my favorite part is how she seems to be emerging from the dark background. It doesn't really need anything else so I decided to stick with a less is more philosophy...

#2 clay render

This is what gave me the idea to just use the minimal light source

#3 rough sketch

The rough sketch also turned out interesting, don't you think?

What do you think?
