Green Element Resale is located at 6241 North Broadway Avenue, Chicago, Illinois (Edgewater).
It was built in 1916 when the architectural fad of using green and white glazed bricks was just getting started. It lasted into the 1920s and can still be found in buildings all over Chicagoland. Also, if you look at the green pattern in the middle, the way it ends abruptly is an indication that there was once a parapet around the roof. You can also see some of the mural painted on the north wall of the building. It’s usually fenced off but I hope to be able to get in where I can photograph it some day.
The photo was taken with a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera. I used ACDSee Ultimate 2018 to edit it but the original did not need very much. All I did was adjust the lighting a boost the contrast slightly.

I was trying to see the mural, it would be great to see the entire wall. A great find.
They have some picnic tables set up in the lot next to it so I assume that, as the weather gets nicer, they will open it up. It’s very near my house so I’m there a lot.
