Too Late – Hugh – 1

There was a way Hugh spoke which had been effective. It was aggressive, dramatic and unarguable.

He’d performed this way all this life.

When he reached his thirties he seemed unable to realise that other people had ideas different from his, but hearing his bombast, didn’t bother to speak.

Hugh had no idea other people were doing things ‘against’ his determination.

Until his father’s house, which was willed to him, was taken by a mortgage company.

Hugh had no idea there was a mortgage on the house.  His father never told him.

What do you think?
