The Grand Challenge – 7

In many families, the kids can’t talk to the parents.

For years the Parents might have demanded that their child…

or believed that their child…

or don’t know that their child…

The Child may have lied, hidden things, had secret dreams and plans.

If you, as the Grand Parent,  have proven you can be trusted the Grand Child will tell you.

“Gran, I don’t want to go to medical school, I want to go to Art School…”

“Nana, I never told my parents that I flunked out of Advanced Class…”

Then you, as the real adult can give them the right kind of guidance and advice.

You do this ‘off the front page’ you tell the parents nothing.  In this way, the bond you form with your Grandchild  is strong.
