I captured this bumblebee on my deck sedum this morning. As it continues to gradually turn pink it is attracting more insects. Butterflies, bees and wasps… so far. I hope to see even more visitors are the season progresses. Did you notice the textures in this photo? The wood, the steel from the deck railing, the blooms and the bee. All are different textures. That is what makes photography so interesting.

Have a great day and don’t forget about the little things in life. Pause and take a look around. You just might be surprised at what you see.

You are welcome, Carol.
Your photos are fantastic. Did you try to publish them somewhere? Or make an exhibition?
Thanks. No I have not. I have entered them in contests before but that is all.
Be persistent … people should see these pictures.
You are kind, I will have to get back to that project.
Fantastic lighting on that insect. Again, you have outdone yourself.
Thank you Ann, appreciated!
I think the most Interesting thing is how the bee was made to become the center of attraction despite all things around him!! But of course, the texture are nice too!!
Thank you alibb. Appreciate your comments.
the whole flower is in shadow except for the bee- that’s great use of light for framing!
I did not even notice that until now. I should have said… you are right,
