Super Bowl 52 ~ Photo Challenge Day 76

I am continuing with the 365 Photos Challenge and I am now on Day 76.

First, I have to share a very special photo with you all. Dustin was a huge football fan. The Green Bay Packers, back when Brett Favre was the quarterback, was his favorite team. They were the Super Bowl champions in 1997.

This photo was one of Dustin’s favorite sweatshirts. I kept a lot of his treasured things. Dustin was able to see Green Bay play in the Super Bowl in 1997.

Today is Super Bowl Sunday 52 for the NFL (National Football League) fans. The New England Patriots will be playing the Philadelphia Eagles tonight for the championship game of the 2017 season. I am more into college football but today is a big day for the NFL. What is so crazy about this game are the ticket prices. They start at around $3,000. each and go up to $30,000. Absolutely unbelievable for people to pay that much for one ballgame. But there are millions of football fans out there willing to pay the price. Stub Hub, one of the legitimate places to purchase your tickets, made a statement about selling tickets to every US state and 18 countries. That is a lot of people. The game will be played in Minneapolis, Minnesota inside the US Bank Stadium. Thankfully the game will be played indoors, since there is tons of snow on the ground in Minneapolis.

The half-time show is always a big deal. This year’s half-time show will be starring Justin Timberlake. Rumor has it he may have a surprise guest with him but nothing confirmed as of yet. He is one of my favorite singers and musicians. He used to be in the band NSYNC back in the 1990s. He is continuing with a very successful solo career today.

For all the football fans out there, enjoy the game and may the best team win!

  1. We don’t have Super Bowl in New Zealand but Im amazed at the gear they need to wear. Our football game is Rugby and the NZ team are the All Blacks. I would say anything like this is a challenge. I think sport should be enjoyed as a game.

  2. I am a huge football fan (pro and college) and enjoy watching the game. I am however, someone that doesn’t like the Patriots ever, so I was rooting for the Eagles.
The SuperBowl, like the Olympics, World Cup, World Series and so on, are more event than game sometimes.
Ticket prices can be astronomical for any of them.
