I have to admit that the very first record I ever bought, and one that I still have
The Lawerence Welk Orchestra, and the song that I loved Winchester Cathedral.
I listen to this song to this day. Although Lawerence Welk is no longer on TV (or alive, he passed away many years ago).
My guilty pleasure!!!
I remember that song, I liked it.
it really is a classic! I loved that song when I was little!
Now that is a classic, thanks for sharing Doc.
it was one of my all time favorite songs as a kid!
Unfortunately, I have never heard this song.
I think Lawerence Welk wasn’t big outside the US.
Great music but this song always reminds me of Ole Blue Eyes and I love hearing him sing it
i have heard Sinatra’s version – also great!
What a whistle and a big band to back it up. Really enjoyed.
I loved Lawerence Welk when I was little!
A jolly little tune, but I’m not sure that it has much connection with the burial place of Jane Austen!
only that the cathedral let his baby walk by!
Owh… That’s the kind of sound that hasn’t been heard for so long, Doc.
music that once was, I agree it has not been for a long time!
