Love ItLove It

Silhouette Saturday and Sky Sunday!

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

Here are a few sky pictures  that I took last week.

#1 The last rays of sunshine

This is that golden hour you may have heard about.

#2 Sun Flare

The sun was hitting that pine tree, and lighting up the needles, it was also reflecting off of that little lake in the back.

This was from inside the car.

#3 I zoomed in

I still couldn't get detail on the lake. It made for a pretty sky picture though. A hazy foggy yella sky.

#4 Exposure

I played around with the exposure on the camera.

#5 The dead tree

With the pines below made for a good silhouette. This was the one for the cover.

#6 I couldn’t pull over.

There wasnt even a shoulder. I can see why it was named sunrise highway. You run along a crest of mountain top, and can see the sunrise on the right, and the sunset on the left. I wonder how sunrise won out on naming it? I wonder if it is prettier?

#8 There never was a place to pull over.

These are all from the moving car, through a dirty windshield. I actually had my hand out of the window for this one.

Shortly after this was taken, we entered the town of Julian and had some of the best apple pie ever from the Julian Pie Company. The apples are grown right there!

I hope you have a great day today!
