On His Arm – 30 – End

Isaac strolled into work on Monday.   It was as if Clark Kent had been revealed as Superman.

Everyone was talking to him as if he was the centre of their lives. Everyone was inviting him to lunch;  work became more a social gathering than actual production.

He’d never experienced this ‘life style’ before.

He  enjoyed it until about three o’clock.

Isaac had  predicted that his coworkers, people who knew him, or ought to, would now judge him based on who he was dating.   He was the same person he’d always been, it was just his appearance with a beautiful woman which caused the reassessment.

He knew people would see him with her and assume he was 10x more than he was.

Now, being thrust into the centre of attention  was not as elevating as Issac expected it to be.  He was almost sorry he had appeared with Rachel at the function.

Almost.
