Oliver's Odyssey – 19

As no one ever loved Oliver, and kindness was a rare breeze that blew through his life irregularly, he developed a thick armour and a great well of contempt for people.

To Oliver, other people either had use or did not.  Those who had no use he didn’t  see.  Those he could exploit had names.

For himself, Oliver wanted to get into a top college so worked hard, and got himself into various programs.

When he graduated High School, he had been accepted at a first rate University.

He wanted to be a lawyer.  He needed a first degree at a high enough level to apply to the prime law schools.  As study was his forte, he was certain he’d get what he wanted.
