Norman is an abuser.
When he was young he could beat his wives and children. He could subject them to all sorts of ‘punishment’. Now that he is old and not in good health, he uses ‘psychological’ warfare.
However, for those who are aware of the signs and symbols of abuse, this’warfare’ is as dangerous as a rubber knife.
As his first ex wife experienced, there was no change in the evil that controlled Norman. Being aware of the nature of an abuser means one discovers the methods before they are used.
Norman could have changed.
After his second marriage fell apart, after his children developed a hatred for him, he could have reassessed. That is, if he were normal.
But abusers are not and never will be normal. Abusers will never not abuse. It is, for them, like breathing.
They do not see the world as normal people do. They see it as if they are alone and having to fight to survive. Abusers know they are inferior and can not for one second let anyone else win.
That they lose is not recognised.
