NEVER GIVE AN ABUSER A SECOND CHANCE -118

Gladys never went over every aspect of her relationship with John.  She never noted that his drinking was to give him an excuse.

He intended to beat Gladys, and because he wanted to be able to transfer the blame, he used liquor.

“If I wasn’t drunk….”

As Gladys never fully analysed her relationship with John, accepting the drinking as the key, she became involved with Carl who didn’t drink.

She never noticed that he intended to beat her and needed an excuse, so would provoke her to respond, so he could beat her.

“It’s your fault.  If you didn’t…”

Stan took pleasure out of demeaning other people.   He insulted Gladys because he enjoyed it.  She didn’t have to do anything.

If Gladys had analysed her first relationship, she never would have become involved with Carl or Stan.

But she didn’t.

  1. People do not change. They may divert; so a drug addict becomes an alcoholic or has some other addiction. The Abuser who gets away with it once, who gets the ‘pleasure’ of abusing someone, never changes.
